Summer 2013 a group of ten (7 of whom were from Wales) from the Britice-Chrono project travelled to the Scilly Islands to take samples. This was part of the larger project to constrain the extent of the last ice age. C3W is providing researchers and part of the Outreach work for the project.

During the visit Professor James Scourse was interviewed on location by Julie Love (of Radio Scilly).  In the interview (above) he talks about the last Ice Age, why the islands are so significant to geologists. and also explains to the listeners the techniques of Cosmogenic, Radiocarbon & Luminescence dating.
