Synhwyro Ynni’

Amserau agor: 10 y.b. – 4.30 y.h.

Gyda chymorth yr ESRC, mae prosiect Bywgraffiadau Ynni, Prifysgol Caerdydd, ynghyd â phrosiect Ynni a Chyd-ddylunio Cymunedau, Goldsmiths, wedi bod yn cydweithio ar ddulliau newydd o gyflwyno gwaith ymchwil academaidd sy’n canolbwyntio ar ddefnydd ynni i’r cyhoedd. Cynhaliwyd y gweithdy cyntaf ar “Ddatblygu cynhwysedd mewn ymchwiliadau amlfodd, gweithio gyda chymunedau a chwtogi’r galw am ynni” ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd yn fis Gorffennaf 2013. Yn dilyn hyn, ymunodd fwy o brosiectau sydd a diddordeb mewn cymunedau a’r ffyrdd maent yn defnyddio ynni gyda timau Caerdydd a Goldsmiths er mwyn arddangos eu gwaith mewn arddangosfa cyhoeddus: EVALOC (Evaluating Low Carbon Communities), RECCKN (Reducing Energy Consumption through Community Knowledge Networks) a CISE (Community Innovation in Sustainable Energy).

Canolbwynt ‘Synhwyro Ynni’ yw’r angen i roi sylw i agweddau dyddiol o ddefnydd ynni er mwyn galluogi ni i ddeall ym mha ffyrdd gall ein defnydd ynni newid yn y dyfodol. Gobeithiwn fydd yr arddangosfa, ynghyd a mewnwelediadau o ymchwiliadau cymdeithasol, yn hybu ymwelwyr i adlewyrchu ar y ffyrdd maent yn defnyddio ynni o dydd i dydd.

Cynhaliwyd yr arddangosfa yn y gorffennol yn y White Building, Hackney Wick.

Cyllidwyd yr arddangosfa a’r bedair prosiect cyfrannol gan Gyngor Ymchwil Cymunedol ac Economaidd (ESRC) ynghyd a Chyngor Ymchwil y Gwyddorau Ffisegol a Pheirianneg (EPSRC) fel rhan o fenter Ynni a Chydweithio Cymunedol. Mae prosiect CISE wedi ei gyllido gan Cyngor Ymchwil y Gwyddorau Ffisegol a Pheirianneg (EPSRC)  a’r ECLEER o Ynni EDF.

Rhaglen o weithdai a digwyddiadau i ddilyn.

‘A Sense of Energy’

Opening times  10am – 4.30pm

With support from the ESRC the Cardiff University Energy Biographies team and Goldsmiths Energy and Co-Designing Communities team have been working collaboratively on new ways to engage the public with academic research into how we use energy. An initial workshop “Developing capacity in multimodal research, community engagement and energy demand reduction” was hosted in Cardiff in July 2013. Subsequently, other projects whose research concerns energy and communities have joined the Cardiff and Goldsmiths teams to present their work as part of this public exhibition: EVALOC (Evaluating Low Carbon Communities), RECCKN (Reducing Energy Consumption through Community Knowledge Networks) and CISE (Community Innovation in Sustainable Energy).

‘A Sense of Energy’ highlights the need to attend to everyday aspects of energy use in order to help us understand how the ways we use energy might need to change in the future. We hope that the exhibition will open up opportunities for visitors to reflect on their own lives and energy use as they interact with insights from social research.

The exhibition previously ran in June at the White Building, Hackney Wick.

This exhibition and four of the projects were funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and Economic and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) as part of an Energy and Communities Collaborative venture. The CISE project was funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and ECLEER of EDF Energy.

Programme of exhibition workshops and events to follow.
